"So where are we going today?" © Dax Michaels

This is the question many people seem to be asking themselves. We're running so fast trying to get to a destination that we're forgetting all about the value of the journey.

Many of us go to school to get a degree in a career path whose only reward is making lots of money and many people who have the necessary mental prowess do undertake certain career paths merely for financial remuneration regardless of whether they actually enjoy that career path or not.

The basic recipe If you want to be a lawyer, for example, is that you have to go to college for four years and then law school for 2-3. After that you take the bars and voila, you’re a lawyer!

Wow, a Betty Crocker recipe for success, right. The path has already been laid out for you. You just have to run through the hoops and jump to the bells and whistles. To really get ahead it is sometimes requested that you even throw in your two eggs along with a few gallons on Sweat.

If you like following recipies, conforming, and "re-creating yourself" so as to fill the spaces in cookie form sheets, you’ll do just fine. If not, you’ll only create a great deal of inner strife and tension which will have not only negative side effects on you and but also those who routinely partake of your company.

If you study a career path merely for money and then work in that path merely for money, that will usually have a great negative impact on your life.

But you say, I’ll work at this job until I make enough money to retire early and/or open my own business". Well, what if the day you’re working for never comes?

A secret that has been know by many sages is that it isn’t just the goal that counts but also the journey to it. The journey must be as fulfilling as the goal because this way we’ll know how to appreciate the goal when we finally get to it.

There are many people in every possible career path because they want to be there. Because they want to be there doing that job, they will succeed at it and by far surpass those who are selling-out and merely there for the $$$

Again I would like to emphasize that the bottom line to Tantra is all about enjoying the journey called "Life". In order to do this we must keep the road clear of any and all debris.

The native Americans once believed that we are merely visitors of this planet and therefore must treat it with respect. We must therefore live in harmony with the spirit of Gaia. Tantra provides several means of doing this. Whereas the Judeo-Christian ethic in many ways does not.
