A friend said, There are people out there who want to love you.....................let them.

I will AND without reaching any previous conclusions as to where this will go! I will just let people love me for who I am! Now it is there decision to love me, one which I may or may not reciprocate. I am thankful for their love and do appreciate it yet if I do not reciprocate it in a manner which they may find fitting, is that not their problem, for were they not the ones who gave me the gift of love to begin with?

This reminds me of forced Christmas or Hanukkah gift giving!

Someone buys you a present so you feel you  MUST buy them one! Well, then it is not a present but merely a barter of sorts.  A barter in which you often feel you are getting ripped off or worse yet in which you feel guilty that someone gave you such a large gift and you do not have the means to reciprocate with something of greater or equal value.

They say that love is not love until you freely give it away! This kind of love makes one happy! It is the love that is looking for co-dependence and equal or greater reciprocation that is comparable to trying to sail a sinking ship!!!

I must stop assuming that people who give me their love want reciprocation and I must also stop assuming that people whom I love for being who they are will reciprocate in kind to me.
