So, everybody's been talking about Tantra and Tantric massage but has anyone ever given you a clear definition of what it is? Probably not.

Well, Tantra has been given many definitions but I deem Tantra as:

A way to becoming one with your God and the Universe therefore classifying Tantra as a religious concept much in the same way as Christianity.

Sounds too good to be true eh? And to top things off, Tantra is the usage of the body's sexual energy and erotic synergy to bring ones consciousness to this higher plateau.

Some people reading this are probably frowning stating that sex in a religious perspective is only to be regarded in a procreative light. Well to those people I ask you kindly to get out of that Christian mindset. Please remember that the book referred to as the Bible was written by men. Men who claimed to be divinely inspired by God. Men whose writings are based solely on faith and men who had as much right as you and me to make such a religious proclamation.

Some people out there also are showing signs of alarm when "someone out there in this day of AIDS is stating that sex and erotic synergy can be used in a religious setting". Some people sill feel that the spread of AIDS was brought about solely by sexual promiscuity. WRONG!!! It was brought about by ignorance. Remember Jim Baker in 1984 stating that AIDS "was the Lord's way of punishing the homosexual". This was followed by jokes such as: "What does GAY stand for? ... Got Aids Yet!" And still today, some families and individuals cannot bring themselves to openly discuss sex yet have no problem discussing in great depth last years world series.

To fully understand Tantra you must be willing to renounce all your previous prejudices and conceptions of what is proper and what is improper.

It is also ironic to note that the same people who were responsible for the sexual revolution of the 60's and 70's are the same ones who are now against pre-marital sex, casual sex etc. So why is sex in the US such a "to be kept behind closed doors" subject? Primarily because a few very vocal groups and individuals have been lobbying their representatives to come to their side of the fence and because the liberal opposition hasn't deemed the threat to be great enough to mount their own lobbying campaign.

Well, enough of my political podium. I am now going to openly state what Tantric Massage is without any fear of recourse because I take great pride in being a citizen of the United States of America where the freedom of speech is still an unalienable constitutional right.
