Did God create Man or did Man create God? Something like, "What came first the chicken or the egg"?

It has always been the case (or so it is believed given today's corresponding empirical knowledge) that Man invented the deities of Old: The Greek Gods, the Roman Gods, and the Norse Gods as merely a way to explain the at that time current environmental conditions along with other worldly occurrences.

Yet how can we the "modern man" of today be sure that these Gods did not exist? We were personally not present at that time and what we claim to be our pure unadulterated history is only a re-hash of what have been deemed "reasonable and acceptable" answers to historical inquiries by scientists who were influenced by religions not to mention the prevailing socio-political forces at any given time. A good example of this is the question, "What caused the civil war?" 30 years ago the answer was the struggle between an agrarian South and an industrial north, today the answer is the abolition of slavery. Why the change? Probably a growing Black population of potential voters! They say you can't re-write history, but my friend the truth is... You Can!

The total length of time which these aforementioned gods were worshiped approximates the total length of time today's monotheistic Gods have been worshiped. Taking all of this information at face value and seeing that the time derivations are about the same, doesn't it appear that it's time for a "new show in town"?

They say that upon conquering the Greeks the Romans developed their own Gods (and/or copied the Greek Gods). Seeing that the languages are different in both cultures, couldn't it be assumed that the deities (who were in fact extra-terrestrials) revealed themselves unto both cultures in a similar fashion and gave each culture relevant names it could use.

Yes, the Gods of yesteryear could have been extra-terrestrials who merely came to the earth to visit or even to see how their seeded peoples (the human race) was thriving.

The early humans could have first invented these deities who were responsible for such occurrences as thunder and lightning who later took on a solid identity when the extra terrestrials arrived.

The extra terrestrials were not responsible for the thunder and lightning but the humans (who were mental children at that time) subscribed these powers to the extra terrestrials seeing that they had no other possible and plausible definition.

The extra terrestrials left and time did pass on. The so-called founding fathers of western civilization Abraham ..........

Organized Religion as is being used today is merely a way to control the masses into carrying out the will of the few.

In an Organized Religion the basic recipe has always been:

1. Keep the masses stupid
2. Keep them under informed (as in the former USSR) or keep them over informed (as in the USA) with totally non-relevant useless trivia.
3. Cultivate a group environment which has a collective mentality and a collective conscience (seeing that free-thinkers could pose a threat to the status quo.
4. Provide structured educational track programs all which move along on carefully established patterns of socially credible thought and conduct.
5. Discourage thinking outside of what has been established as the norm and/or status quo of that particular religion.

BUT THEN AGAIN, I KNOW THERE IS A GREATER POWER THAN JUST MYSELF. SOME PEOPLE MAY REFER TO IT AS THE UNIVERSAL CONSCIOUSNESS; BUT I CALL THAT POWER GOD.

I BELIEVE IN A LOVING GOD WHO WANTS ME (AND EVERYONE ELSE) TO BE HAPPY AND TO LIVE LIFE TO THE MAX. I ALSO BELIEVE THAT GOD HAS GIVEN EACH OF US THE POWER TO MAKE OUR OWN CHOICES. WE JUST MUST REMEMBER THAT EACH CHOICE PRECIPITATES AN OUTCOME BE IT GOOD OR BAD.
